As part of their expanding services from Eastern Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines will offer direct flights from Kota Kinabalu to Perth, Australia, beginning in January 2011. Promotional prices are available for travel until March 31, 2011, and start at MYR1,180 (USD380) for return travel in economy class.
Direct service between Kota Kinabalu and Perth will commence on January 15, 2011, and there will be 3 flights per week. Flight MH121 will depart the Kota Kinabalu airport at 6:00pm every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday and arrive in Perth at 11:35pm local time. Flight MH120 will depart Perth at 0:40am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and arrive in Kota Kinabalu at 6:15am local time. Approximate flight time is 5 hours and 35 minutes one way.
Promotional fares for this new route are available until March 30, 2011. The quoted fare of MYR1,180 (USD380) is for round trip travel in economy class inclusive of booking fee, taxes, and surcharges. It is the lowest fare available during the promotional period and is subject to availability. It is a “MHlow” class fare and no refunds or changes are permitted.
